Small things to make me happy

After a couple of struggle-days there is a new positive energy around. Good thing is, that it was an Universal and a collective thing and not only a personal problem.

That´s something I experienced a while ago: when I feel very low and hopeless it´s always good to check how other people are doing or which special constellation is happening in the Universe at that moment. Cause most of the time it´s not me as a person, who is struggling, it´s just a period of change that´s going on.
Of course, me the Highly Sensitive Person, feels that more intense than others. Though if I ask around I get similar reactions from other people - no matter if they are aware of Universe´s energy or not. And that calms me down a lot: Okay, it´s not me alone. It´s something that affects us all.

So, what is it that I am feeling right now? There is this urge to clarify my life. To make it even more pure than it is already.

I wanna get rid of everything that doesn´t make me happy! More than ever ...
I wanna get rid of everything that doesn´t belong to me! More than ever ...

At the same time I so wanna make sure that I am only surrounded by "my people" and everything that feels totally right.

The journey of the last couple of years was to purify my life.
I´ve always been curious in life. I always wanted to find the perfect things - let it come to cosmetic products, clothes, shoes, what ever ... in everything I buy, there was this urge to find the best fitting product of all times!

Well, there is nothing like THE product.

What might have been the perfect product for years, might not fit anymore in the future.
For example:
I remember a sun cream I was using for years. I loved the texture, I loved the smell! The bottles came with a special "no sand"-lid, which I only had to turn around once to open or to close it. I loved the smooth feeling of my skin after I was using this sun cream all summer long.
When the brand was changing the product little by little - the smell was not right anymore, the texture was different - I was sad. And all of a sudden that sun cream was not available anymore.
Me: heartbroken!
But of course I moved on. I had to find a new sun cream after all. And it was not easy, to tell you the truth. Because I am a very loyal person when I love someone or something! There was no sun cream on the market that was nearly as good as MY sun cream!
When I think about this sun cream today, I would not use it anymore ...!
I  don´t buy commercial brands anymore! I don´t by chemical products anymore! I even can´t stand chemical fragrance anymore!

My sun cream today?
A natural sun cream from an Italian brand with sesame oil, which smells perfect, the texture is amazing and my skin feels so great after using it!

So, yes, I am still curious and I am still willing to change my mind about brands and products.

Some products and some brands are an integral part in my life though. I am not sure if I am allowed to use brand names in my blog too much, so I better do it without them. (Yes, I know the rules about that. I am dealing with infringement stuff at work ...)

= If you are interested in one or the other brand, please send me a private message. =

When it comes to cosmetic products I´ve found MY brand here in Malta! I love the whole concept - and the products of course!
A young dynamic woman who started her own business out of her own believing. The shop was recommended by a friend years ago when I was searching for natural soap. I love the soaps! Soap bars for the face, for the body and shampoo soap bars for the hair.
After a while I found out that this shop also provides things like shower gel, body lotion or shampoo - local produced (by the shop itself) and in bulk! So I went there with my own jars and bottles to get my products natural AND package free! I am even allowed to choose my own fragrance or essential oil!
Me: happy!

More an more I started to chat with the owner when I was around. We have some very similar believing's and she is so inspiring! In one of those chats I was even told that all the cosmetic products in the shops were produced by the shop itself, bottled by the shop and refillable.
I didn´t know that!
I thought that the soaps were produced by them and the other products in the shelfs were from a different brand. Well, I should have read the labels before.
So that means when, for example, I buy a jar of lip polish (with natural oils and sugar - which I love!) and this jar is empty, I don´t buy a new jar, I just get my jar re-filled with even a 10% discount! Totally package free and natural!
Me: very happy!

Yesterday I´ve ordered from my most favourite clothes and shoes brand.
A brand which only offers products made in Europe, natural materials and unique styles.
Since about 8 years I am wearing their clothes and shoes. And when I do so, I always get compliments ... even from strangers.
There is this one winter dress I so love! The colours are amazing and the dress fits me as if it was made for me only. When I put it on I feel like a different person. ... I was wearing it for a concert once. So after the concert, when everyone went to pick their coats, a woman from the crowd approached me with a big smile: "I so love your dress! It is so beautiful and it fits you so well!" I smiled back at her because I knew she was right. "Thank you! I do love this dress!"
Because the dresses and shirts from that brand ARE beautiful and unique. The colours are amazing, the shapes are perfect and the style is different from the mass. It´s so easy for me to find "the perfect" item in their online-shop.
Yesterday I was wearing the first cotton shirt I ever ordered from that brand. A simply red cotton shirt which I am wearing for 8 years now! Maybe the colour is not that bright anymore ... but the shirt is still one of my favourite ones. And the material, natural and high quality, is still top.
So, I felt I had to order something new yesterday!
Oh, and I found a winter coat in dark plum! I am so excited about it. And a beautiful dress in petrol! I also had to order a dress from the SALE section, because I am in love with it since a while. The next summer is coming soon, right?

Today it was time to place my first online order with my most favourite brand of all times!
Why my first online order?
Because back in Austria I regularly bought from their shops and since I am living in Malta I asked friends and family to stock me up every time someone was coming for a visit.
We are talking about teas, spices and some other delicious things.
About the brand:
There was this young man in Austria who had a dream a long time ago. Today he owns a company with more than 500 employee in two countries and many shops all over Austria and its neighbour countries.
What is so special about that brand?
EVERYTHING!
The dream of the owner ... is something you feel in every single product, in every single shop!
Tea and spices are only Fairtrade and natural. The company makes sure that every farmer gets paid fair and don´t use any harming stuff, no matter if they are local farmers in Austria or farmers (for example for black pepper) in Madagascar.
Every single package is either recyclable or even compostable.
The names and the packages of every product are colourful and funny. My most favourite tea is a herbal tea mix with the name: "Barfuß durch die Wiese" - which means "barefoot through the meadow" (which I so love to do myself: walking barefoot through the grass.)
The shops are "warm" and cosy.
Even the online shop is "warm" and cosy.
When I answer one of their Facebook posts, I always get a very personal reply from them.
The company provides their own kindergarten for the kids of the employee - based in the headquarter of company itself. Mothers work near their kids, kids are near their mothers!
Tea boxes and herb bags are packed by hand.
The owner wins prizes after prizes for his ecological concepts / for his dream.
Oh, before I forget: the teas ARE AMAZING!
I´ve ordered a "Happy New Year" tea - which I already had for the last two years: every tea bag comes with a different quote of the day on the bags.
Next to a season-lasting stock of different herbal and fruit tea (most of them loose), I´ve also ordered three different natural bread spread (blueberry, forest berries and rose hip), a natural cranberry syrup, rosemary and cinnamon, natural fruit gummy bears and some natural drops for a sore throat.
I can´t await to receive the package. Because also their packages are "warm" and beautiful.
When I´ve got a gift box with different products once, the box was filled with dried flowers, dried grass and dried leaves. So adorable, so natural!
Do I have to say it again: I LOVE THAT BRAND!

When if comes to food and restaurants I also limited my outgoing to a few places which I REALLY love!
Why?
Because I not only like to eat well, I also like it when the place is cosy and I feel welcomed.
There are some places, I regularly eat in, where owners and staff became friends already. One of the owner of a restaurant said to me once:
"You are not a customer, you belong to the family!"

See, I really try to find the perfect things, shops, brands, restaurants ... because they make me so happy!
When I buy a product it has to make me happy in every way. I don´t buy much but everything I own I really love. Everything I own is important to me.

That is part of my wellbeing.

As a Highly Sensitive Person every little detail has a huge impact of my life in general. Tastes, smells, colours, the warm feeling of buying something I know I love already or the excitement of finding something new ...

"Small things" which make me smile even after years, this special piece of clothes I so love to wear, the tea bag with the name "Loslassen = Let it go" on an early, grumpy morning, the smell of white tea when I open the bottle of body lotion, which was re-filled with my chosen scent so often already, the waiter who says: "A homemade lemonade as usual?"

Every day I try to find new ways to even make me more happy! And the most happiest moments in my life are those when "something small" makes me happy as hell!
